Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
ZenFeedback is an early pilot. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions or requests: zenfeedbackapp@gmail.com.
Who we are
ZenFeedback is an independent product built and operated by Victor Dumeige. You can reach us at zenfeedbackapp@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your account — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
- What you create — the feedback requests, questions, reflections, saved highlights (“Gems”), and action commitments you make in the app.
- The people you invite — the names and email addresses you enter for the people you ask for feedback.
- The feedback they give — the written responses your recipients submit.
- Basic technical data — standard server logs (such as IP address and timestamps) needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
We use your data for one purpose: to run ZenFeedback for you. We do not sell it, rent it, show ads against it, share it with your employer, or use it to make or inform any talent decision.
No AI or automated system analyzes or profiles your feedback. Human access is limited to the founder, and only to operate the service or help you when you ask — never to evaluate you.
Who we share it with
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the service, and share data with them only as needed:
- Render — hosting and database storage (United States).
- Resend — delivers the invitation, reminder, and notification emails (so recipient names, email addresses, and email contents pass through Resend).
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr — content-delivery networks that serve fonts and a small script; they may receive your device’s IP address when a page loads.
- Google Analytics — on our public marketing pages only (the landing page and blog — not the signed-in app), to understand how many people visit and where they come from. It sets analytics cookies and may receive your device’s IP address; we never send it your name, email address, or any feedback content.
We don’t otherwise disclose your data, except where required by law.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored in the United States, and is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). If you access ZenFeedback from outside the US, you consent to this transfer.
Anonymous requests
When you choose to make a request anonymous, responses are shown without attribution to the individual giver, and identifiable details are handled accordingly within the app.
Cookies and local storage
We use a single sign-in cookie to keep you logged in, and we don’t use advertising cookies. On our public marketing pages only (the landing page and blog), Google Analytics sets analytics cookies to help us understand visits and traffic sources; the signed-in app doesn’t use analytics cookies. We also store a few small, non-sensitive items in your browser (such as your display name and theme preference) to keep the app working smoothly.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see below).
Your rights and choices
Email zenfeedbackapp@gmail.com to:
- Access or get a copy of your data,
- Correct your data, or
- Delete your account and the data associated with it.
We’ll action access and deletion requests within 30 days.
Children
ZenFeedback isn’t intended for anyone under 18.
Pilot and changes
ZenFeedback is provided as-is during the pilot. We may update this policy as the product evolves; we’ll change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, do our best to notify you.
